Inside the iPhone

Now that we got the back cover off of the iPhone, we can take a closer look at what is inside the iPhone.

Picture 1-3 shows the cover off of the back of the iPhone. You’ll see the iPhone battery is the large square in the middle. The third picture shows the iPhone logic board. It’s a two sided board with 3 antenna leads coming off of it. Also in the right corner of the third photo is the iPhone camera.

Pictures 4-6 show the back side of the aluminum casing. Everything on the case backing is connected by one ribbon cable. You can see that the iPhone power button, volume button and vibrate mode button are all connected to the back of the case. Also note the headphone jack is not soldered to the logic board at all so there is no chance of breakage if the headphone jack is bent.
