In this series of photos, you’ll notice a few things. First of all the iPhone battery is indeed soldered to the motherboard with three wires, red, white and black. This means that only an authorized Apple tech will be able to install a new battery (unless you’re like us and void your warranty by taking the thing apart)! Also, each antenna wire is nicely attached with a small drop of glue for durability and probably for watersealing as well.

In the last three photos, you’ll see the iPhone antenna leads sticking up because we pulled them off so you can see the iPhone motherboard.
