I have to admit something...Normally, I'm not one to really get into Asteroids-type games, but I feel that Chillingo's CS.One has hit their marks on almost all areas.
Let's start with the premise of the game...It's simple enough: 1) Destroy the power core 2) Destroy the Data Core 3) and above all else SURVIVE.
Now that you understand the premise of the game, let's move on to something more exciting: the graphics...The graphics are wire-frame type graphics BUT they are vibrant, alive and have a three-dimensional feel to them..It's hard to explain and perhaps you can see it in my video quick look, but there is the top layer you navigate through and the bottom layer you can see..It's a pretty neat effect and I give kudos to the programmers of CS.One...In any case, if anything be prepared to assaulted by all types of enemies, large and small...I found out you can even shoot the missles that are fired at you...
Next up, gameplay...Here's where this game absolutely shines...It controls well, using the left thumb to rotate the ship and the right side of the screen to fire the thrusters...How do you fire you ask? The lasers are controlled by hitting the very bottom right hand corner of the screen..If it all sounds confusing, just watch the vid and you'll instantly understand...In any case, I really enjoyed this game for the controls and the graphics...
I also want to add that the capabilities of connecting and sharing your scores online is an added bonus and a welcome feature...Can you tell that I enjoy this game yet?
Anyway, CS.One is slated for publishing in the AppStore this weekend, keep an eye out for it...Amazing, simply amazing...Stop reading and watch my vid:
