Video Recording, Compass, Voice Control etc. Found in Beta Firmware

vidrecording.pngMacrumors is reporting that since the release of iPhone OS 3.0 beta, code hackers have been busy scourging configuration files to find what Apple might have planned for us in the next version of the iPhone.

Over the past few days there has been mention of the possibility of video uploading and editing but today an video recording interface seems to have been discovered.
In this screenshot taken from MacRumors site, you can see that on the bottom right hand corner there's a switch to toggle from still camera to video camera. In any case, it will be very interesting to see whether or not Apple enables video recording for 2nd generation iPhones. Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed but am not confident...

Other interesting finds that these code hackers found include: auto-focus camera, magnetometer(compass) and voice control. We'll see what happens in about 2 1/2 months...hang on!
