AT&T rival Verizon says that the earliest the iPhone could appear on their network is in 2010, along with the rollout of their 4G network. Industry insiders say that with the advent of the 4G network, it will be easier to manage a common, standard cellular communication technology.
Currently, there have been no official announcements, however, Verizon's Chief Executive Officer Ivan Seidenberg explained that Apple is "more likely" to want to work with Verizon with the wider distribution of 4G.
