Yesterday in their earnings call for the Second Quarter of 2009, Apple reported a revenue of $8.16B and a net quarterly profit of $1.21B. These numbers are impressive, more stunning given the fact that they represent the best March Quarter report ever in Apple's history.
No doubt the earnings are due in no small part to the iPhone and it's commanding share of the market...which many industry insiders feel could be expanded by distributing the iPhone on other networks (ie. Verizon, Sprint & T-mobile). You can be sure that the Palm Pre won't have such a limitation...How this all plays out will be very interesting in the next few months...We'll see how the Third and Fourth quarters play out as well...
In any case, Apple's forecast for the Third Quarter is an expected revenue of $7.7/$7.9B....Hope you all bought your Apple stock early...
