[App Review] VelaClock

For the avid photographer, lighting is key to getting the perfect shot - especially when one contends with nature. However, nature may not be as totally unpredictable as we may think.

Vela Design Group come up with an all-in-one app that allows you to hold time in your hands - Vela Clock VelaClock

It's a world clock, yes - but it does so much more!

The average person may catch the basic sunrise and sunset information on your local news, but when you need to know the exact time, VelaClock comes through with flying colors.

At your fingertips, Vela Clock displays the time of sunrise, sunset, three kinds of twilight (civil, nautical, astronomical) for dawn and dusk, moonrise, moonset, the duration of daylight, current phases of the moon, date and times for the next four moon phases... and more

Simply set VelaClock to your local time and location and it will find your longitude and latitude and time zone. Add in your favorite international cities and it will keep track of each one on your main app screen. You can also view each city's time according to high noon or real time on a graphic bar showing sunrise and sunset.

What's also nice is that VelaClock is not dependent on a network connection, so this information can be viewed at anytime, anywhere.

Well-designed and well-executed, this is a great app to keep track of time around the world. Vela Clock is $3.99 and available on the iTunes App Store.
