Today, Wal-mart officially announced that almost all of their 2,500 nationwide stores would start carrying the Apple iPhone starting this Sunday. Although some people expected Wal-Mart to deeply discount the iPhone, Wal-mart will be selling the 8GB model for $197 while the 16GB model will be $297.
Along with the discounted pricing, Wal-Mart will also implement a price matching policy which would allow them to match other retailers lowered pricing. We here at the iPhoneNewsBlog feel that this is a good thing as it means that consumers will have more ways to buy an iPhone.
