AppStore Receives Minor Updates

Apple this past weekend made some minor changes to the way the AppStore handles reviews and how new versions of existing applications are ordered.

In the past, users were able to write reviews for any application, even if they didn't purchase them. Now, users are required to have bought the application before posting a review.

Additionally, updates/fixes to an existing application no longer places them at the top of the released date heap. In other words, the store is now ordered by "Actual Release Date" and not by when it was changed. To the developers, this a good thing because we feel it will prevent the newer apps from being buried by updated applications.
