In a recent study in Japan conducted by the research group iShare, the iPhone 3G was found to be wanted by 57.9 percent of those who responded to the survey. Even more surprising was the fact that the survey allowed for multiple answers and the fact that another recent poll showed that the Japanese market was not interested in the iPhone.
Other phones in the top six were from foreign companies and included Emobile's S11HT, known as the AT&T Tilt or HTC TyTN II; the HT1100 or HTC Touch DUAL; and the BlackBerry Bold, the first version of the smartphone capable of running in Japan.
