Of interesting note, is that this is further evidence that a 3G iphone is coming: Softbank only deals in 3G phones.

Japan & Spain Slated to get iPhone
The hot news today is that Japan and Spain are now finally getting some distribution channel love for the iPhone via Softbank and Telefonica, respectively. The two carriers say that they will be shipping an iPhone later this year.
