Over the past few days, there have been a lot of rumors and predictions regarding Apple's forthcoming iPhone update. Being an Apple watcher for many years, I'd like to throw in my predictions that I think you'll be able to count on. Back in
January, we had a
list of predictions that were all pretty much on the nose. So we'll throw these out and see where they land.
What we know for sure (or we're pretty sure):- Apple iPhone 2.0 is coming SOON - Expect a End of June or July release. The latest we can see it coming out is August, but that would be a surprise.
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will have 3G
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will have GPS
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will have a searchable Address book
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will have 16 GB or 32 GB memory
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will have a thinner profile and slightly redesigned look
- Apple iPhone 2.0 will use an Intel processor
- Apple willl release a Stereo Bluetooth headset
- Apple will target business users to steal market share away from Blackberry
- Apple will showcase how the Blackberry has no advantage over the iPhone
What were not too sure on but will bet on- Apple will release a new iPhone form factor IN ADDITION to Apple iPhone 2.0.
- New form factor will be smaller with less functionality and priced aggressively
- We may not see this form factor released until right before christmas time
- Wireless syncing finally?
Stuff we kinda doubt- iPhone 2.0 will have slide out, real keyboard
- iPhone 2.0 will get rid of the proprietary headphone jack
- iPhone 2.0 will have a user replaceable battery

Iphone 2.0 will have improved camera. :-)
