2nd Gen. iPhone Rumored Features

20080403iphoneback.png
Recently, rumors about the 2nd generation 3G iPhone has been flying fast and furious over the Internet. The most common consensus seems to center around the following featureset:

  • The back of the iPhone is a glossy black and the volume rocker is now chrome
  • A slightly thicker design
  • Inclusion of 3G and a real GPS
  • A Flush headset jack (so you can use "standard" headsets)
Other than that, everything else seems pretty much the same. All signs seems to point to a July release. We'll see...Keep your fingers crossed!

it's actually a real iPhone that has been painted. You can get these from ColorwarePC.com

and just so everyone knows, except for people who live in large cities 3G is pretty much useless for now anyway, as AT&T has not implemented in rural markets. As far as "real" GPS my thoughts are that they will have a car dock, that has GPS built into it, and I wouldn't be surprised to see TomTomĀ® on it.
