Want to sync more than 8 ringtones to your iPhone?

We think this might not be a bug... but rather someone at Apple didn't think anyone would purchase more thean 8 ringtones. Apparently if you try to sync more than 8 ringtones to your iPhone, iTunes just won't let you. This is why Apple has released this support doc describing a work around to get more than the allotted 8 ringtones onto your iPhone.

Here's what you have to do:

1. Select iPhone in the source list in iTunes.
2. Click the Summary tab and deselect "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected.
3. Click the Ringtones tab and select "Selected Ringtones."
4. Select the ringtones you want to sync and then click Sync.
