The Secret of Apple iTunes Ringtones

| | Comments (0)
The hacker named Cleverboy is at it again! This time he discovered what makes ringtone work in iTunes. Using a software app called AtomicParsley, a command-line meta-data editor, he was able to figure out that a line of metadata allowed the ringtones to be ringtones. By modifying this line, any ACC file immediately became a ringtone and appeared in the ringtone list.

If you're hack happy and want to give it a try (it really works, we've done it), you can get AtomicParsley here and run this command:

AtomicParsley mmbop.m4a --stik value=14
Read the entire story of how he discovered it and what he did to get it to work.
